DVB Dream and multi core CPU's

Postby Gavincol78 » Wed Jan 23, 2008 12:54 pm

Please can anyone tell me whether DVD Dream would work well with an AMD Phenom 9500 quad-core cpu?

What I mean by work well is would it be ideal for HDTV recieving?

v1.4 and above should work well on multi-core and multi-cpu systems without problem. It looks like the codecs are the keys at the moment for h.264 HD. (not the hardware/horsepower) If you already have a 2 core CPU and a decent video card , might be more than enough. http://www.dvbdream.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1621

Yes - a dual core and on board graphics are enough for H.264

I have this 690 g board with amd 3800 dual core and 1 gig of ddr2 but can't get dvbdream to even scan channels. I am using the tbsqbox. It works fine on an intel board but no luck with this amd board.
