Shift function for ir remote control

It would be really nice, if a shift function is added for remote control keys.
If you press a configurable remote control key, then the other keys are usable for a second function.
If you press the configurable remote control key again, the first function of the keys is used again.
I use dvbdream with wlirc, the audiocapture plugin of it and a dreambox remote control.
In enigma many keys got two function, depending on what key you pressed before.
In my opinion, the remote conrol concept of enigma is pretty good.
Would be really great, if dvbdream is controlable via remote in a similar way.
