Avira anti virus detects Malware

Hi, Today I installed v1.5e trial. When I run the program Avira detects Malware

"A virus ur unwanted program 'PCK/Asprotect was found in file 'c:\dvbdream\devices\gp_Unified.dev' Access to this file was denied


Installed on Windows 7 64bit, using Skystar 2 PCI card

Can someone please advise - thanks

gp_unified.dev is a genpix unified device interface.
If you don't have Genpix card you can delete this file.

Otherwise contact Avira authors and tell them that not all programs packed by ASrpotect are viruses.

you can also try virustotal.com (and then submit generated report to Avira).

Hi thanks I am happy with this reply, just a little disconcerting to see the malware warning. I had already allowed Avira to Quarantine it, I don't need this so I will now just delete it.
