List of available UHD / 4K / HEVC Channels & Codecs

Postby rel » Sat May 31, 2014 12:46 am

Please add more channels under this thread, if you can receive any other UHD channel.

Hotbird 13.0°E
10930, H, 27500 DVB-S2 8PSK "4kTV HEVC 50 fps"
Astra 19.2°E 11406, V, 22000 DVB-S2 8PSK "Astra Ultra HD Test"
Astra 19.2°E 10995, H, 22000 DVB-S2 8PSK "sid001/ses"
Hispasat 30.0°W 10730, V, 30000 DVB-S2 8PSK "TVE 4k Test"

Currently only LAV and Cyberlink codecs seems to work on DVB Dream. Please let us know if you find other HEVC codecs that work fine under DVB Dream. (add codec classID's to "codecs.ini" file. You can get ClassIDs with a DSFMgr.exe or graphedit)

Latest LAV filters / codecs:

CyberLink powerdvd14 Combo Decoder v.2.0.1660:

Please also install DVB Dream codecs / DivX AAC audio codec. then restart DD and select it in "Video options" dialog as AAC codec
You can try a google search for DVB Dream Codecs

DVB-T2 on Paris Tour Eiffel transmitter : channel 26 (experimental, 1kW), "Test UHD1" and "Test UHD2"

rel, with the latest 2.6 DD version I can now watch these two channels correctly (thank you !), but i have no sound on "Test UHD1" which has an AAC soundtrack. The small "buffer" bar at the bottom of the window does not fill up. You will find it in the .ts sample I sent you a couple days ago
Latest LAV installed, no problem decoding other AAC audio files.

It's working :)
Is it an issue related to DD or LAV ?

Not sure why other AAC codecs dont want to work with DD for now, but in future that might change

Juste to be shure : the audio cuts out after 30 seconds, i suppose it's because the decoder is a demo version

For what it's worth : I've been trying with the DivX AAC Decoder, and it's working :)

What kind of Hardware do you use for DVB-T2 UHD? We have test UHD here in Korea but no idea which card is suitable for me..

Thank you. I ordered TBS dual tuner card. I'll let you know if I get the UHD signal successfully after installing it :)

Hi there,

I tried 2 FTA 4K frequenties :

- Hotbird 13° 10930H 30000 : Working but very poor. I have T. Breaks every 17 seconds. And I can't hear the AAC Audio track.
- Astra 19° 10995H 22000: Working much better though I've T. Breaks regularly too. 31 seconds before DS Reset. And here, no problem with the AAC Audio.

My settings remain the same in both cases :

- LAV Filters 0.63 with Harware Acceleration : Using NVIDIA CUVID
- Windows 8.1
- DvbDream v2.6a
- Core i5-4590 @3.30 GHZ
- Graph Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
- 16 Go RAM

I probably have a too weak processor since it's used at 96% when watching such UHD channel.
Can't define if this is the reason why I can't hear AAC Audio track on Hotbird...
- DvbDream v3.3
- Core i5-4590 @3.30 GHZ
- Graph Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
- 16 Go RAM

Hi All, I have been trying to receive the UHD test transmission from Astra 19E (Frequency: 10.994 GHz) I think I must have an issue with mu Codec's but for the life of me cant find what it is ,so was hopping someone may have an idea . I get the signal with ease (lock) but not video or audio just the black screen. I have added a few screen prints of my configuration .

Thanks in advance for any possible help

Dan
