HD playback

Postby jaffo » Sun Sep 09, 2012 4:49 pm

I am a big fan of both DVB Dream and ProgDVB and use then both but anything I record on DVB Dream wont playback on windows media player or my Popcorn Hour whereas recordings made on ProgDVB playback fine on both. I am using the same render and codecs on both programs.

do you make recordings in TS format?
if not, switch to TS format, record few samples and then try to playback in your player.

They playback fine with Media Player Classic but I really wanted them to playback on my Popcorn Hour (hardware player).
I record them as .TS files and I have tried different settings. Standard def stuff is fine.

Do you know if the channels you record have multiple audio tracks?

I don't know to be honest because its not just one channel all I know is the same channel plays back fine if I record it on ProgDVB. The stream recorder in the latest version records and plays OK but it's not ideal for recording. I have also found a lot editing programs don't like the recordings but again are fine with ProgDVB.

Hi, I had the same problem in pch with ts files. I solved it using a sw named "TSdoctor" which fixes something to the ts file.

Thanks for that it works a treat. Look like its a problem with the PAT and PMT not that I know what they are :)
