1.2a - No event in OSD until EPG window opened.

When i launch DVBDream there is no descriptions in OSD and there is "NoEvent" string in recorded filename.

To repair this i need to open EPG window (by hotkey CTRL+E) and wait for loading events. After that, when recording i have right event name ... but this is until next channel change. After channel change i have no event again (no description in OSD) ... again until EPG window open.

Even, when changing ch with EPG window , there is no Event in OSD and filename.... i need to click on Refresh button to load events for new channel.

There was some bug raport windows when changing channels with EPG window opened .... but not always, so ... i dont know that is a EPG bug.

Remote controler module is still linked to old EPG module. And when i heve deleted EPG module .... there is no EPG link from RC mod is not working.

does it happen on all channels? if not, do you have enough signal level on those channels? EPG parser works for next 5 seconds after channel change to get now/next. If it cant catch EPG events, it will stop automatically. When you tried to show OSD with "O" key after OSD disappears, does it show now/next events?

It does on all channels. No matter what is level and quality.
This problem begins with DVBDream 1.2 (i think)

even if i use "O" key there is no event.

only when i open EPG window (not OSD display) ... and wait for loading informations ... i will get results.

PS.

In 1.2b i have no event in OSD and in recorded file even after using EPG module.
In 1.2a i have noticet that after using EPG on chanel that im watching .. and after that (without changing channel) i have recorded something .... there was right event name in filename.
With 1.2a i have not tested "O" hotkey ... so i dont know that after using EPG in 1.2a it will OSD work fine.

Maybe im mad .. because of this

Can't confirm. Try SDK device (then restart DD).

i have tryied 2 diferent drivers versions ...
In SDK mode DVBDreams is not working at all.

Because dd1.2b is unusable (because of often system slowdons on dd startup) i have reinstalled dd1.2a.

I have tested "o" key after using EPG ... and BINGO ! there are right events after using EPG (of course without changing channel).

So ....
In 1.1x i have no problems with events display.
In 1.2 i dont remember ...

In 1.2a i have no events until i use EPG.
In 1.2b i have no events at all .. even after i use EPG.

Do you tried to change EPG font? It was very small and black in 1.2a I think.

the same that in 1.2b
there is no EPG in OSD even after opening of EPG module window.
EPG module works fine.

BTW .. there are still OS slowdowns (100% CPU usage by DD) when sometimes launching DD.

(beggined in 1.2b).

"EPG module" ?? You mean EPG only, or are you still using EPG module?

Again:

What card do you have??

Try to close DD, backup and delete Settings.cfg file in DD dir and try again, maybe something might be corrupted, but there is not a big chance it will help.

its Easy Touch , twinhan clone (as i remember .. because sometimes im changing hardware someimes).

i have tryied reinstallartion.... (with deleting all DVBDream folder)

Ok. Again from begining.

I have two PCs :

1. Athlon64 2800+ with 1GB RAM and Windows XP SP2 installed (with all online avalible updates).
There is EasyTouch Columbia 1022A - twinhan clone.

2. Athlon 1400 with 512MB RAM and WinXP SP2 (with all updates).
There is also VisionDTV by twinhan (i dont know is that 1020 or 1022 ?)

On bouth machines i have problems when launching new versions (problems started with 1.2b) , there are slowdowns .. and 100% cpu usge by DVBDream. The fastest way to make PC usable is reset by reset button on case. Of course that problem appears not always .. but .. i dont know when it will appear so ... 1.2b and 1.2c i have used only for tests.

On first machine i have another problem too. There is no event descritions in OSD. EPG module works fine so this is not a lo-Signal problem.
In 1.2a descriprions in OSD appears after i use EPG. But disapears after channel change.
In 1.2b and 1.2c there is no descriptions even after using EPG module.
It seams that its not simpy display problem because when recording there is no event in recorded filename ... so it looks like problem with geting info from stream data.
I have tested diferent drivers for twinhan (now im using drivers used in second PC).
I have tested SDK driver but its dont working at all ... no signal with it.

On second machine i have no problem with OSD .. it looks great . I can change font size and color and with this there is no problem.
