cannot get my starbox 7021 to work.

attached is a text file of the error log.

used scanman 1.04 to generate. newer versions simply fail to see my receiver at all...

thanks for your driver, hopefully this issue can be fixed.

P.S.:
the "twinhan_sdk" driver almost works. it initializes correctly, gets a signal lock, and signal meters read correctly. fails to scan or actually tune in to any channels.

Here is a new release specially für all users of TwinHan-Cards using a MANTIS chip (1034 and 1041).
A new driver for ths 'family' is available: 1.1.0.100.

The normally loadable driver in Version 1.0.5.9 is really slow and makes causes probs with DD - also in V 1.3c and above.
The new driver is much faster and more stable, but something must have changed related to tuning and DiSEqC.
IT WON'T WORK WITH BDA_ALL UP TO 1.07 !

Therefore i changed the interface a little bit and now there is a new paramter available in the BDA_ALL.INI:
>>> DISEQCMODE - Possible values are 1, 2 or 3

TwinHan-User WITH MANTIS-CHIP (NOT OTHERS !) who wants to test the new driver must load the new BDA_ALL 1.08 and - VERY URGENT ! - set DISEQCMODE=1 !!!

For all other users/cards/boxes to use BDA_ALL: Leave the value to 3.

Compro-Users and those who have probs with DiSEqC can try the 3 different values.

Reminder 1: If value is changed in the INI, you have to restart DD.

Reminder 2: Please don't change any other valus exceptional it is described in the INI
Additional param's are for several testing only !

It doesn't work on Twinhan 1027 cards. I'm getting 0% signal strength on a lot of stuff. Then if I play around changing channels, it will come back mysteriously and then go back to 0%. Basically, its unstable on my system. I'm in the process of uninstalling everything and reinstalling it to see if that will help.

I really think the problem is the Twinhan cards. They are junk.

PS - The 1027 uses a concentrix chip and not a mantis chip.

Thanks, I tried it with the data program that comes with the card, but I could not find where I can download "THDVBS_BDA_Test.exe". Right now, its just sitting at 0%. The data program wont even let me switch to the proper satellite. The twinhan data program did not help.

It really doesn't look like Twinhan is a reputable manufacturer. Even when it does work, the signal strength is at least 20% less than what I get with my STB.

Hi,

I have a Hauppauge WinTV Nova HD-S2 card.
The dvbdream works fine with normal channels, but it doesn't tune the HD S2 channels.

Is there any solution for this?

Gabibbo i have spent the better part of two days and simply cannot make the BDA_All drivers work for me with my Twinhan 7021A. The drivers on the original disk work fine in mytheatre, and i can pick up 91, 82, 110 and 119. When i delete the original drivers and install the scanman drivers, DVB Dream still doesn't work. MyTheatre also no longer detects my card and no longer works as well. If i delete the scanman BDA driver, and install the orignal drivers, MyTheater works again. So how did you get the Scanman BDA drivers to work for you?

Ahhhhh....ok. So an earlier version of DvBDream might work with the BDA_All driver? What about WDM drivers? I can't seem to make WDM work either, but anyone have any success with WDM?

Forget about WDM, 7021A works nicely with BDA. I'm driving my rotor* and switching my diseqc switch with BDA.

Find and download ScanMan's BDA device 1.07 on this forum, it's a replacement of the built-in BDA device.

Experiment with the DD version - I'm happy with 1.4f/g, your mileage may vary.

* not in DVBDream, but in some other USALS capable app.
