1.4d High cpu usage

Hi
Cpu usage is too high with 1.4d. (Any codec and any renderer)
I can't watch dvb-s2 HDchannels anymore. (cpu 100% + freezes)

It was just an idea, I have had such a freezing too, but only on (SD) channel changes - few seconds, but I'm glad it works.

I've found the reason of this

The SimOSD module creates an excessive use of DD's log file !!!

Log file after 30 seconds with SimOSD Off : 279 Kb

Log file after 30 seconds with SimOSD On : 2273 Kb

So, if you want to use SimOSD module deactivate DD's log file creation :
--- Options - Preferences - General ---> Uncheck "Enable Log File" ---

NB : I've already notified this fact to Simoh.

PS : Seems to be linked to the fact that SimOSD uses a timer to grab and refresh EPG Infos at regular time interval.

This issue is not directly related to SimOSD (Sorry Simoh ) :

Conditions that can create such issue (all with Log file enabled) :

1/ SimOSD module activated

2/ Switching or starting DD on some channels (ex : iMusicTV) --> See: http://www.dvbdream.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5015#5015
(seems to be related to invalid PID CRC)

3/ Using EPG function of DD

All of this seems to be related to [FILTERMNG] internal function of DD.

some debug lines in the log file causing this, you can either disable logging or download it again

@Rel : Here is the translation of what Simoh wrote on forum PCTVSat about SimOSD 1.2.2

• Fixed: Crash of DD when B, U, D, H and Enter keys are pressed.
• Fixed: CPU usage is too high when log file creation is enabled. Frequency of activation from the EPG Filter has been considerably reduced, but even with this reduced activation, automatic refresh of EPG informations still acts (no need to change channel or use EPG grabber of DD to get actualized EPG informations). EPG Filter is now activated during only 200 ms every 4 seconds.
