Zoom and Aspect Ratio adjustment (for 16:9 Displays)

It would be nice to have an aspect ratio feature to view full screen video with correct aspect ratio on Plasma displays, also a Zoom feature to eliminate black bands. Now I do it with ProgDVB together with Zoom Player. ProgDVB continously writes on timeshit file and Zoom Player reads this file and output with correct aspect ratio on my Plasma Display.

I read it but this is not the question. My display is a Plasma Display that support only "4:3" VGA resolutions (800x600, 1024x768...) but not Wide VGA (1280x768...). In wide mode the Plasma display stretches the image horizontally. For this reason, the output need to be stretched vertically to match correct aspect ratio. Zoom Player handle it very well. If I use 16:9 mode in DD the image is stretched twice!. The system is similar to comercial 16:9 anamorphic DVDs, the image is originally vertically stretched but on playing the image is stretched horizontally to view correct aspect ratio on widescreen display.

Try ffdshow and options - Crop & zoom, Resize and aspect (and suboption Borders), some of them could help...
