DD Wont shut down when closed

DD will not shut down when the X is clicked to close it, but it will continue to run normally. Sometimes it will eventually shut down by itself in about 10 minutes. Sometimes you can go into the task manager and manually shut it down, but sometimes it wont let you do that either. Usually when the latter happens, you cannot shut the machine off either. Restarting requires power interruption and rebooting.

This is the first program that I have seen that consistently is able to block the task manager from shutting it down.
