recording issues

How come recorded videos by DVBdream aren't playable with PowerDVD? The audio would sound harsh and the screen doesn't show the video. However, it would play fine off WinDVD. But recorded videos by ProgDVB would play perfect by both softwares. I did noticed when I play videos created by ProgDVB with PowerDVD, under "shows information" it would say Video: MPEG-2 and Audio: MPEG 2. Whereas, videos created by DVBDream it would say Video: MPEG and AUdio:MPEG. What codecs would you suggest for me to use? So far I've tried, Nvideo, Cyberlink DTV, Elecard, and Intervideo without any luck. I choose DVBdream over ProgDVB b/c I receive more channels with AC3 audio with the first program.
