Problem with TV

Postby spnova » Thu Jun 12, 2008 8:58 am

Hello!

I have a problem with TV viewing, Please see attached image. Maybe somebody knows, how I can fix it?

Maybe it is because many channels are on single transponder?

My card is SkyStar 2

go to analysis and check CE (continuity errors) numbers.
Does this number keeps going up?

cause, it looks very similar to low signal quality effects.

also, SR=44950 is on the boarder of your card capabilities (I believe, 45000 is max value).
may be, your card has a bad tuner.
Do you have any problems with signals with lower SR ?

Do you think it happens because of too high Symbol Rate? Maybe I can use somehow my CPU resource, by installing some plug-in?

The only working channel is Belarus TV, (maybe because it has low SR)

Huge amount of CEs explains your problem.

two possible reasons:
1) actual SR is not what you set (not 44950)
2) your tuner (in your particular card) can not work with such high SR.

CPU can not help you here at all. Signal demodulation is done in hardware (tuner chip) only.

added: joshyfun's INI file says taht SR = 44951 on this TP.
Though, I know that there are typos in his INI's (could be one of them).
Try to read NIT (TSReader LITE can give you proper information about TP parameters).
