Req Signal Level w/ Genpix Skywalker

What kind of signal level should I be shooting for to avoid troubles with a Skywalker ?

I have an issue where I need to "reset device" in the file menu periodically or the channels don't come in.

I'm running around 80% signal level right now and I'm wondering if that could be causing me problems.

you don't need to reset device.
Try to check "rebuild Graph upon channel change" instead.
Or something like this (I don't remember the exact name of this option in Video config).

as to signal quality:
anything below 40% would cause a lot of break-ups.
50% is a minimum you want to have for "normal" watch.
70% and higher is what you want to have a good recordings (otherwise your video editing software can "stuck" on bad frames).
80% is already good level.
I may leave skywalker tuned to a TP with 80% signal quality overnight, and next morning check the number of CE and CRCs.
Usually CE is in the range of 0-10, CRC depends on how many birds decided to fly over my dish during that night
Plains over the dish usually generates bursts of CE and CRCs.

You may go into Analysis -> Pid Statistics and watch the amount of CE over the time.

I see "Reset DS after channel change" .. and I checked that option, doesn't seem to help any.

I'm using nVidia PureVideo for Video Codec, Audio Codec
Video Mixing Renderer 9 for Video Renderer
Default DirectSound Device for Audio Renderer

Core AVC 1.6.5.0 for H.264

I also seem to be losing entire satellites periodically, IE right now anything on Echostar 7 doesn't show any channel name in the guide and I can't choose a channel on that satellite.

I'm pretty sure this is going to end up being something stup1d I'm doing as I'm new to dreamdvb.

it could be a switching problem (switch does not work properly).
In most cases, it's because there is NO proper ground.

Dish, coax-cables, switches should be properly grounded.
Otherwise, switches start to see wrong commands (commands send to other switches by other receivers) or even misunderstand commands.

As a result, tuner gets locked on correct transponder but on a wrong sat.
Program can not find channel with proper IDs on it, and you see black screen.
