I use a program called Easy MP3 Recorder and just record the stream from WAVE out. The MP3's come out great. I listen to them in the car all the time.

@dmz, can you check if it is really usinh Nero h.264 ? You should see it in "Active DirectShow filters" list. (DS might have replaced your codec selection with Cyberlink H.264) It is. Would it be possible to include the Twinhan USB remote control module? I believe Ritz and ProgDVB have it, so maybe it is any easy addition.
